I thoroughly enjoyed reading your answers to the daily giveaway questions. What I enjoy sewing is overcoming challenge – if I think something is difficult, I would practice until I can produce the best result I can achieve. When everything is put together, I can look at it and feel that I’ve done my best. I also enjoy thinking about the different designs and the possibility of new patterns.

Today’s featured designer is Megan Nielsen. I first noticedĀ Megan Nielsen because of her beautiful graphic design. I recently lost a lot of weight. Which was really difficult with being a mom of 3 and a student. I still have more to go but I would love to actually see something for myself. I want to feel good in clothes again. I just need to figure out what patterns to get.
I’d sew a suit for my husband! Just for fun. :p
I would make myself perfectly fitted dress pants. I can not find any pants that fit my waist, hips, thighs & bottom at the same time.
If I could not fail, I would make a cashmere coat.
If I could not fail I would create a bespoke wool coat with lining and welt button holes.
I’d make THE ultimate LBD with a sweetheart neckline, a fitted bodice with wrapped gather detail, ending just below the knee. I wouldn’t ever have to spend hours searching a trying on hopelessly at a mall again!
Ooh, I love Megan Nielsen although I haven’t yet had a chance to try out any of her patterns.
And if I could not fail I would make myself a fully tailored winter coat that would last me 20 years.
I actually still love her maternity options, though I don’t need those at the moment… The Darling ranges is cute too and I like the Veronika skirt, but that one’s already free I just noticed (circle skirt).
A button down shirt for sure, and if I really could not fail, then a blazer or structured coat/jacket.
I would make blazers out of beautiful fabrics that actually fit.
Something for me! Clothes for littles are easy but getting the for just right on an adult is a lot harder.
I’d make myself an olive green silk dress with draped bodice and sweetheart neckline, and embroidered flowers and leaves, in crystals. Long flowy skirt with a train š
Clothes for me, I have a mummy tummy that mucks up all the clothes I try to make (or buy).
I like to sew everything at least once, just so I know I can. I have yet to sew a bra. Not sure why I am so daunted by it, I rocked the underpants sewing!
I would make a princess seamed winter coat, using ruby red wool fabric from mood fabrics.

I would make a complex, beautifully tailored wool coat to keep me warm through a Minnesota winter. I once made myself a simple wool coat when I was sixteen and fearless about sewing but it was far from perfect and I only got to wear it a handful of times before my family moved to Arizona.
If I could not fail I would make the best fitting and pretty bra. The only thing I have not tried that I really want too.
I would definitely make a very over-the-top wedding dress and get remarried with my hubby!
I would make my favorite sweater, it’s so easy an ready in less than one hour
I would make a brown leather moto jacket. It’s been on my to-do-list forever but the cost of the leather scares me if I stuff it up.

If couldn’t fail, it would be a well fitted leather jacket, because once you put the needle in there is no going back or there are holes galore.

If I couldn’t fail I’d make a military style jacket, with all the buttons. Its the fitting that I would be no failing, the sewing seems easy enough. Why does fitting have to be so hard -_- Thank you for organising all these giveaways š
If I couldn’t fail, I think I would make a crazy oversized pirate coat with tons of hand tailoring and awesome details. Like a cocoon coat mixed with Jack Sparrow, basically.
Definitely a wedding dress with sequins, lace and a tulle. I think that will be the ultimate challenge

Definitely my wedding dress (with interlining, boning and a big ball gown skirt to boot!) I’m actually starting on planning mine at the moment so I could use a little of that sewing luck!
I would love to make pants. I’m so nervous about figuring out the fit that I keep reading to prepare instead of taking action and making a muslin to get going!

I’d love to make a jacket or coat with lots of hand-tailoring… but unfortunately I just don’t have the time to dedicate to such an involved project now that I’m in school again!

If I couldn’t fail, I would make a tailored leather jacket. With the cost of the leather and all the hardware, I’d have to almost guarantee I knew what I was doing so as to not waste the materials! xx

My baby sister is still in high school, and I’ve been thinking about making her grad dress. Right now, it terrifies me, but if I knew I wouldn’t fail, I’d jump headfirst into that project!
A soft silk dress with a contemporary self drafted design. It’s a future dream, right now I’m just an advanced beginner and it feels a bit too risky to experiment with very expensive fabrics ;-/

I think I would make leather pants that fit comfortably. I am too scary to even try and pants never fit me well.
If I couldn’t fail, I’d be sewing up a cropped jacket. Getting the proportions right has been so challenging so far, but I will persevere.
I want to sew a button up fitted top but I have had terrible luck fitting my upper body
Have you tried the winter wear designs one? The princess seam makes it a little easier to modify the bust to fit.
If I couldn’t fail I would make a leather jacket with lots of cool topstitching. That’s something I haven’t tried yet.

I’d love to be able to make myself a beautiful gown. Something that would be nice to wear when my husband and I renew our vows. Not necessarily a wedding dress, but something that would be red carpet worthy.
