A couple of months ago, when it started to become really warm in my part of the world, I realized that I desperately needed some shorts. My favorite shorts were becoming scary and not so presentable, so I knew that I needed to make myself some. Yes, I do have my other shorts patterns, but I needed five pairs, like right now. I wanted something without fly front zipper nor buttons, something I can whip up quickly. Coincidentally, I could solve that problem! 😉 So I got to work immediately.

I imagined that some friends of Itch to Stitch would also appreciate a relative “instant” gratification. People generally like to go out and go on vacations in the summer with little time to sew, so I am sure you ladies would appreciate sewing something in the morning and be able to wear them in the afternoon.

I love my Belize so much. They are comfortable, and can be sporty or even dressy, depending on the fabric you use and how you style them. A tester in Australia (hi Sue!) even sewed with corduroy and make something for the winter!

• Sits at natural waist
• Relaxed fit
• Elastic side and back waist
• Medium-length in-seam (4 1/2” to 5 3/4”, or 11.4 cm to 14.6 cm)
• View A: Pleated-front shorts with front pockets
• View B: Flat-front shorts with front pockets
• View C: Flat-front shorts with no pocket
• View D: Skort with front pockets and shorts back
• View E: Skort with front pockets and skirt back
