Mila Shirt PDF Pattern Testing Call
TESTING CALL CLOSED
The testing call is now closed. Thank you so much for your support! The Mila Shirt is now available in the shop.
+++++++++++++
Hi ladies, are you up for testing a shirt perfect for the Fall and Winter? Mila Shirt is designed to keep your warm and cozy. Of course you could make it with light-weight fabric if you’d like, but what I had in mind was flannel (especially in plaid). Here are some design inspirations.
Mila Shirt Features:
- A, B, C, D and DD cups for the perfect fit
- Center-front, button-down placket for a casual look
- Classic high-low shirttail hem
- Integrated front and back yoke
- Front gathering above bust for subtle shaping
- Optional collar
- Optional sleeve tabs
- Optional front pocket
I also made the front placket pretty deep for those of you who want a nursing-friendly top.

I cannot wait for this pattern to come out! I have been waiting for a pattern just like this forever! This is exactly my style, I have that top plaid shirt pinned, and it will be a well loved pattern!
Hi Heather, the Mila Shirt will be released as part of the Indie Sew Winter Collection on November 16th. Stay tuned! If you sign up for my newsletter, you will receive an email notification too. Have a great day!
This pattern is completely my style. I can’t wait for it to be released!
Soon, very soon. 🙂 testing is going great! I am glad you like the style!
I cannot test at this time either, as I have other projects I have to finish this week. I am very excited about the sizing for different cup sizes, and the gathers above the bust. Because I am large busted, my shirts always end up pulling apart at the buttons. I think this design will eliminate that possibility altogether! Thank you!!! Can’t wait for it’s release!!
Oh, and by the way, what is the finished length of the shirt from neck to hem?
Hi Carol, I am quite excited about this design too. You will sure hear about it when it’s released. You see the neck to waist length that I list above? It’s different for different cup sizes, and the waist to hem length is 12.5″ (31.8 cm), so you add the two together you get the neck to hem. The back is another 1″ (2.5 cm) longer. It’s supposed to hit mid-thigh so it can be worn with leggings.
Oh man, I wish testing didn’t require a Facebook account:-( otherwise I would definitely apply for testing. This looks like a great pattern!
Thanks Christina. Facebook group is a good forum for tester interaction. Many ladies told me they had lots of fun interacting with each other!
Oh my. I was looking at the line drawing and bemoaning the lack of bust darts to facilitate a FBA when I saw that not only is this drafted in a fabulous range of sizes but to a DD too. Awesome. Whilst I can’t list myself for testing at the moment, this is on my to buy list as soon as it’s published. Thank you for such thoughtful drafting!
The shaping of the bust is in the gathers above the bust. I am glad you are liking what you see. You’ll hear about it when it’s released!
