Softshell Fabric Resources
Below are some suggested sources for softshell fabric to create the Andes Jacket. While I haven’t personally used these vendors, they come recommended by members of the Itch to Stitch Facebook group. Keep in mind that fabric inventory frequently changes, and I do not actively maintain or update this list. If you have alternative recommendations for fleece-back softshell fabrics with stretch, kindly share them in the comments. When making fabric purchases, carefully read the descriptions and engage with vendors by asking questions to ensure the suitability of the fabric for your project.

Hello! I’m in love with the Andes pattern. Do you think one could make it warmer by lining it (with Alpha direct)?
Hi Stephanie, you can try interlining it. There are no instructions to line the jacket, and also it doesn’t have a facing, which is something I would use for a lined jacket. So I think interlining it would be a better option unless you want draft the facing yourself.
In the Netherlands you can find softshell fabric at Textielstad: https://www.textielstad.nl/search?query=softshell
