The Teifi Cardigan pattern comes with options to make it truly yours! Choose between a cropped length or a slightly longer high-hip length, giving you the flexibility to create a cardigan that fits your wardrobe needs. The cropped length is perfect to pair with dresses and high-rise pants—a look that’s very on-trend right now. But for those who prefer more coverage, the high-hip length is your go-to. It looks fantastic with classic mid-rise pants, creating a balanced silhouette that’s both flattering and practical.
And to add even more options, the Teifi Cardigan comes with both long and short sleeve lengths. Whether you’re looking for a light layer for warmer months or something cozy to transition into fall, there’s a Teifi combination for every season.
I want to take a moment to thank the talented testers who made this pattern shine! Their stunning versions of the Teifi Cardigan truly showcase the versatility and style of this pattern. Aren’t they fantastic? I hope their creations inspire you to make your own Teifi, customized to your unique style.

Just purchased the pattern and can’t wait to make it! Any idea where the tester in the 9th row got her awesome neon purple fabric? I love it and don’t see it tagged on Instagram.
The ponte I chose has no more than 20% stretch. Sadly, the pattern calls for 30% horizontal and vertical stretch. Can i still use this fabric if I make the cardigan one size larger? Thank you.
Hi Robin, yes, you can use it and make it one size larger.
Thank you — I truly appreciate your response. Love this pattern!
I have the perfect fabric for this jacket. It only has 10% stretch in both directions. Besides cutting the jacket a little larger, do you have any recommendations for success?
I’d like to make this in a merino – what weight/type of merino can I use that will be structured enough, but not too thick?
Hi Layla, something like this would work well: https://weare.thefabricstoreonline.com/collections/merino-terry-ponte-fabric/products/brushed-merino-sweatshirting-grey-marle
Would this work in cotton Lycra jersey to make a type of polo shirt that opens down the front? See blue floral version on 2nd row. Lovely pattern.
Hi Janet, yes, you can to do that.

I love your new pattern! All your designs are classic and beautiful.
Hi, how do the pockets look on bigger cup size.
I noticed most of the testers didn’t use the pockets. Would have been nice to see the pattern made up with all the pieces on all the sizes.
Hi, the ones on the 6th row (the middle one in purple) and the 7th row (the first one) are in bigger sizes with pockets.
What is the difference between the Lisbon and the Teifi except for the collar?
Hi Annatjie, besides the collar, the Lisbon has cuffs (bottom and sleeve). The Teifi has pockets. The front band (placket) of the Teifi is folded whereas the Lisbon has a separate front band. The shoulders of the Lisbon is slightly dropped as well.
Cute. Would this work in a stretch woven, do you think? I have a lovely piece I’m dying to use.
Hi, Francesca, it possibly could but it should still have enough stretch. With that said, I never tried.
Very nice
Another beautiful version of a classic. I can’t wait to make one.
