  1. Diane

    Love this pattern! So chic!
“Itch to Stitch” my favorite pattern company! :+)

  2. Lauren

I really enjoyed this pattern. The resulting dress is beautiful. The first time I tried the neckline on my toile (PRS French Terry) it came together beautifully. The second time in my fashion fabric (double brushed poly) I really struggled to get clean corners at the shoulders. It took a LOT of basting and ripping and rebasting until it laid smoothly. I shortened the sleeves to be short sleeves by making the sleeve seam about 3″ long (including a 1″ hem). The skirt with pocket construction was different from what I’ve done before but went together easily and seems to be very sturdy. Thanks for making such a great pattern!

  3. LINDA

I watch many videos from Karina’s site, Lifting pins and needles to get my ideas of what to make. Patterns are easy to follow .

  4. Margaret

Easy to purchase online and get printed at my local AO printing store

    Love it

  7. Lynne

I found the whole process of this pattern very clear and easy to understand. From sorting out, which size pattern to use, to sewing up the dress. I did make short sleeves, as I want to wear it in the summer and I am really pleased with the finished dress. I hope I will get lots of wear out of it and looking forward to making more. In fact the next one is on the table ready to cut out. Thank you for such a lovely pattern.

  8. Rachel

This is a lovely pattern. I made the full bust option and graded from 4 at the bust 6 at the waist and 8 at the hips and it fits perfectly

Beautiful pattern, I made 2 so far. I learned a lot with the special neck construction. Something so simple and yet so satisfying. I watched Karina’s (lifting pins and needle) channel that’s how I got the pattern. Pattern instruction is really good and clear. The sew along video was super helpful too, I felt I was sewing with friends.

This is a beautiful elegant looking dress in an easy to sew and wear knit. The raised back neck adds a vintage charm that is surprisingly easy to sew. Once the neckline is done the remaining construction of the dress is not much different then a t-shirt. Sleeves and skirt are easily adjusted to the lengths you want. Optional pockets make it work and on the town ready. A dress that will easily become a staple in your wardrobe.

How to choose your size

  1. Determine if you should use the regular bust front pieces or the full-bust front pieces—subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 3″ (7.5 cm) or less, use regular bust; if it is more than 3" (7.5 cm), use full bust.

  2. Compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Using the corresponding row for your bust (regular bust or full bust), choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.

  3. Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.

  4. Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.

  5. It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.

  6. If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the garment. The instructions for lengthening or shortening are included in the pattern.
