Winter, summer or transitional weather? Sibiu has you covered! With multiple options, the Sibiu is a batwing top that can be a cozy cowl neck sweater with long sleeves or a breezy crew neck t-shirt with three-quarter sleeves. For an interesting take, you can choose to color-block the shoulder atop the batwing sleeves. The Sibiu is easy to style and simple to make. Sometimes you just need that instant gratification!

I love this pattern so much. I made the crew neck with the long cuff. This was so easy to make, I sewed up in a couple of hours. I love the inset option and can’t wait to use my pretty lace and mesh fabric and thats what I’ll be making next. I love that I can make something heavy for the colder months and something lighter for spring and summer. This really is an all seasons top.

Love this pattern. I love to sew with knits and the cowl neck version is one of the easiest knit patterns since there is no hem or neckband to trip you up. I made it in Mathilde Sweater Knit Sage from Hart’s fabric. It was only my second attempt using a sweater knit. The first attempt didn’t go so well, but this came out perfect. Already looking for fabric to make another!!

I am not pleased with the way the letter size 00-20 pattern printed. The pattern pieces extend beyond the margins of each page and it will be extremely difficult to tape or fold the pages together to get accurate pattern pieces. What happened with the files for this pattern? This is the first time I have encountered this problem with one of your patterns and I have been ordering and downloading pdf patterns for years. Was this intentional or in error?

Hi Shannon, thanks for your response. That is intentional. This is not much different from the previous format; you still have to cut at the tile line and align the tile lines and circles. The benefit of this format is that you no longer have to print using the “Auto Portrait/Landscape” setting and the necessary content will be printed (hence reducing the risk of printing incorrectly). Whether the content extends beyond the tile lines should not create any problem (or difference) for you. You are still aligning the lines as usual. Have a great day!

I’ve only been sewing for a year and this pattern was super easy to sew. Her directions are great and the pieces fit together perfectly. The fit was great based on her measurement chart (I blended sizes and shortened it to fit me how I wanted.) I immediately ordered more fabric to make more!

The only adjustments I will make with my next one, is I want to add thumb cuffs and maybe lengthen it a few inches. Loved everything about this pattern, except the sleeve cuffs for the short sleeve version were way too tight. I had the fabric stretched as far as it would go in order to attach it to the sleeve.

Lovely top with lots of style options. I like that it has the bat wing sleeve but yet is not boxy all over. It still has a flattering style. Directions are clear and easy to follow. Great next step for someone who has mastered the classic T. It crosses the seasons with the sleeve length and variety of fabrics that can be used. A wardrobe must!
