Primary Fabric Use a stretch denim, twill or corduroy fabric with 20% to 30% stretch. Do not use fabric with less stretch.
Lining Use a lightweight woven fabric with or without stretch. The lining is for the front pocket facing.
Most natural fibers shrink in the wash; be sure to have enough fabric. The requirements below assume that the fabric is already pre-shrunk.

How to choose your size
Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
Because this pattern is pull-on style pants, do not use a smaller size at the waist, or you might not be able to pull the pants up past your hip.
I love my Quebec skirt! Only my second time trying a PDF pattern and my first Itch to Stitch one. I much prefer PDF patterns over the traditional. The instructions and diagrams were easy to follow. My only notes:
1. I found I needed 18 extra cms of fusible stay tape for the size 14 (94 instead of 76).
2. I think it would have been helpful to add a note to step 44 along the lines of “Stop low enough so that you can make a nice diagonal line from edge stitch to top stitch to this latest top stitch when finishing (step 46).” Maybe only needed because I’m a newbie to sewing though.
Overall I couldn’t be happier. I wear this skirt ALL the time.
I am so happy!!! The pattern has such a great fit for me. You did it again your drafting is impeccable. Love you for it.
Good fit. Chose size based on full hip measurement. I am really short so I shortened the pattern by 5 inches. I’m happy with the result but might consider going up 1 size depending on fabric choice next time around
This is so comfortable and beautiful!!
Lovely fit and easy to wear. This skirt is a great addition to my wardrobe
Quick and fun to make. I only needed to shorten it my a little bit.
So easy to make and wear! I love the faux fly, the rivets, and especially the elastic waistband casing.
Thank you for another beautiful pattern
I love this pattern! Thank you so much for offering it.
I really enjoyed sewing this skirt! it came together so nice and looks really good!
I’m totally in love with this skirt
I was waiting for a skirt like this. Made it and love it
I like this pattern so much that I have plans to make a few of them.
Have made two of these now. They make up a little bigger than I expected, but this is no problem. Its such a great pattern to make up, so easy.
A great wardrobe staple that can dress up or down based on the fabric. Fashioned after the Mountain View Jeans it has all the bells and whistles with the ease of a pull on skirt. Great starter for those not yet up to sewing zippers.
Easy to follow instructions + good fit = enjoyable sewing and nice garment to wear.
Fit was good and just ordered fabric to make another.
I was so happy with just about every bit of my Quebec skirt , i have planned to do another one and knock out a perfect skirt
I absolutely love how easy this went together, it turned out fantastic, I have already made three skirts and will be making more! Thank you so much!
The style is flattering and easy to wear. I love that it is a pull on that looks like a regular denim skirt with a zipper. Just learning, so great confidence builder. Karina at Lifting Pins and Needles demonstrated a very doable and wearable project. She’s my go to before I make any purchases. ITS has a great reputation for quality and style.
Fits very well. I nice, clean piece of sewing
This pattern is so comfy and it fits so well .
Excellent instructions and very good fit.
I helped test this pattern and I highly recommend it! It fits well per measurements and the instructions are clear.
I love all your patterns. I just don’t have enough hours in my day despite being retired. Keep doing what you are doing because it’s perfect.
Carolyn Gethings –
Perfect basic wardrobe staple.
Loved the skirt.
I love this pattern, the only thing is the bulk at the waist when it is turned down due to the pocket material
Hope this makes sense
Very clear instructions . A wide size range . A good go to skirt love this pattern
Nora Bertoglio –
I love this skirt so much! I made the skirt out of red stretch faux suede. Straight size 6 with no adjustments. Fits perfect!
Have made two skirts so far and more are planned. Absolutely brilliant pattern!
Lovely pattern, a comfy classic
Faultless pattern. I’m thrilled with style and fit.
Very good pattern.
