  1. Jacquelyn

Went together very well with excellent instructions. With a little tweaking on the princess seam it fit amazing.

  2. Charron

I love all of the patterns I have gotten from you, I have been sewing since I was
9 and I am retired so I have been sewing a long time, perfect fit, and instructions perfect. Your attention to detail is perfect. Love love love

The Oia dress pattern is very well drafted, the instructions were detailed and easy to follow. It must be stressed that all markings must be transfered to the fabric and visible while sewing.

I did raise the height of the “V” in front and changed the order of sewing steps. I sewed the bodice front lining to the bodice before attaching the skirt to the bodice (less fabric to work with) then added skirt, inserted zipper, stitched lining facings and straps to bodice, than added the skirt lining.

I was a little off with my sizing but plan to retrace the pattern and make again as this modest sundress fits my needs.

I’m having to do a lot of grading between sizes but very pleased with the pattern so far. The direction are very good.

  5. Ana

Such a beautiful garment & the tie detail just gives it that little extra ziiiinnnng. Good instructions. Great for all seasons, in fall add a cardigan, in warmer months wear as is. . . perfect.

One of my favorite ones! This looks like you bought It in a fancy store!

  7. rainbow6826

Such an unusual and different design, I used a brush-stroke striped linen which accentuated the V-line of the shoulder straps beautifully. I made this in size 16 D cup, the pattern fit was perfect and, while it looks like an intricate design, it was surprisingly easy to sew. Really pleased with the result.

  8. classic…beautifully drafted

  9. Taryn

A beautiful dress. Love the effect and coverage of the wide straps. This is definitely going to be one of my favourites this summer

  10. Jeanine

    very good pattern!

  11. Cindy

    Love the cup sizing option!

  12. Hazel

I made it without the grommets and string and made the v insert a little higher. I’m very pleased with how it turned out.

  13. Kadri

Oia is unique dress for the summer! I love the front lace detail and pockets of course! Time consuming but not too hard to sew 🙂

How to choose your size

  1. Determine your cup size—subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1″ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2″ (5 cm), use B cup; 3″ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4″ (10 cm), use D cup; 5″ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.
  2. After determining the cup size, compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Using the corresponding row for your cup, choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  3. Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  4. Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  5. It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.
  6. If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the garment. The instructions for lengthening or shortening are included in the pattern.
