Perfect, very easy
Was exactly what I was lookinf for. Thank you for offering it!
simple et indispensable dans la garde robe
Such a useful basic pattern!
A little low cut for me.
This is my favorite tank pattern to date. I have sewn at least for in the last week alone!
What a wonderful pattern and it’s free!!! Can’t believe it.
Great pattern making several tops with knit scraps I have.
Great pattern. The explainations were very clear.
looking forward to wearing this all summer
Great pattern. Thank you!
It was super easy to make this top and most importantly it fits fabulously. I am grateful for this free pattern and with this assurance that the fit works I will be buying the patterns I like soon.
I mad3 this for my daughter. It sewed up quickly with no problems.
Super easy to make and fits well.
Lovely little top
New to using pdf my sons have helped me out, wow so easy thank you.
Appreciate your wonderfulness of sharing for a total beginner. So far I’ve done okay. My fabric choice should have been better but that’s not your patterns issue. Beginner mistakes but going to try again! Thank you so much for your generosity!
This is a great pattern for using up leftover fabric, I have used it to convert old long sleeved T-shirts into tanks.
Easy to follow pattern. Definitely a top thatcan be made and worn same day!!!
I raised the front neckline to make it a crew neck-turned out great! Used an athletic brushed poly and I plan to wear while playing tennis. Thanks Kennis for this great free pattern!
it’s a basic of my dressing, thanks a lot!
it’s a nice looking tank top, but i find the sizing a bit off. it’ll require some attention on my part before i’m happy with it.
but once i am, i’ll be very happy with it.
Easy pattern fits perfectly thank you
Nice easy sew, great for new sewers or when you want a quick stitch fix.
My favorite shirt
Great pattern with clear instructions. Very happy with how it turned out!
Easy directions, easy to make .
It’s a lovely pattern to learn with. The instructions are very easy to follow. I have been sewing for many years but found sewing and fitting clothes for myself is a big challenge. This top was great to use my cover stitch to finish off the bindings also. Thank you for sharing some of your free patterns with us.
Love this top easy and quick make
Thank you for offering this pattern for free.. what an excellent pattern. Easy to sew up, came as size expected. Have already made a few of them to put under a sweat shirts and will definitely make more for those summer months. Generally an excellent pattern and thank you.
My measurements resulted in size 8. But at the end size 6 was the richt size and fitter perfectly.
I have made 3 Merino Tops and they are a perfect fit. I would recommend this pattern.
This is a terrific pattern! I have never made clothing for myself, so I was ecstatic to see a free download to try the patterns. The idea of customizing it to fit is brilliant…I bought a fabric that wasn’t expensive to try it out and see if I liked the result and the pattern style. Have gotten many compliments on it and will surely make more tanks and will try other tops as well. Thanks for the gift of trying it before buying..wish you lots of success!
a very quick make, great to wear to work out
Returning to sewing after a long long break and decided on this pattern to get back into it. I loved how easy it was, great pattern and great directions. And the tank turned out beautifully and now I plan on making a few more for spring/summer.
I couldn’t download it.

Love this top and so easy to make
Love this design. My granddaughter will look lovely in this, just got to make it now.

So easy and so cute. Good results. The fit is perfect
Very nice pattern with simple lines.
Easy to download
I love how simple this top is to make. It is a basic that goes with everything. Thank you.
Loved the Pattern
Good quick sew
A beautiful pattern!
Nice for hot summer days, can also be sewn up as an undershirt.
Facile à faire rapide et agréable à porter
I needed new PJs/hanging-out clothes and I wasn’t happy with any of the top patterns I had. So I grabbed the free Lago tank top and gave it a tryout in double-brushed poly. It’s perfect! I wanted it comfy, so I went a size larger than usual. It’s not too tight or too loose for working out, TV-ing, cooking, and of course, sleeping. Currently preshrinking fabric for three more! I think it was well worth the price ;-)!
Very good and easy. Like it!
Loved the Lago tank pattern, I made the size 8, and it fits really well and I am very pleased with the end result. I used a rayon spandex from spotlight and purchased a twin needle for the hem and top stitching. It was my first attempt using a twin needle, and wow it worked really well, I will definitely be using the twin needle again, especially for doing hems. It was a little bit of an effort to tape the A4 sheets together, but well worth it and I will definitely be trying another pattern. Thank you for supplying this free pattern.
I am a new at sewing with knits & this is the perfect pattern. Love it
A wonderful pattern for beginners. It was my first time sewing with knit fabric, and it went great! Detailed, easy explanations, and I’m in awe at the layered PDF pattern. Really straightforward walkthroughs at every stage. Thank you!
Very happy to receive a free pattern.
I’ve already got it cut out for a second one! This one I lengthened because the first was a bit short for my liking, but other than that it’s perfect and goest together so fast! Thank you!
Fabulous pattern and excellent instructions. Thankyou
I made a romper, and used this for the top. Worked beautifully!
Easy and useful. I’ve used this pattern repeatedly
Really simple easy pattern which produced a lovely vest top. This pattern will have lots of use. Thanks very much
User friendly website, fab pattern, excellent instructions.
le patron est très bien
Excellent free pattern
Easy to follow instructions and sizing was almost perfect
Overall it was a great pattern to sew. Easy to follow instructions and quick to make. I appreciate you making this a free pattern. I will look at more patterns from your site in the future.
easy sew with a beautiful finish
This pattern has a beautiful neckline. I’ve already made three tank tops with plans for more.
This was the first shirt I’ve ever sewn from scratch. I liked it enough I made 3!
Lovely Women’s Tank. Design & Cut are feminine / flattering. A must have for Summer
I really struggle with the sizing for this. I’m a UK 10 (EU 36) and fit pretty standard sizes. But when I measured myself to work out what size to make this top part of me was two whole sizes different to the rest. I rechecked and remeasured many times. So I simply printed out the size I’d normally wear and it was huge compared to tops that fit me well. I haven’t even cut my fabric out as I’m not sure how/if I should proceed. I don’t want to mock up a muslin for such a simple piece as it seems like a waste of fabric and time. Grading so dramatically between sizes also felt silly, especially as my measurements are normally so average.
Kennis Wong –
On each pattern, there is a section in the instructions called “Choosing Your Size”. Follow those instructions. It’s ok to choose different sizes for your bust, waist and hip. In fact, most women do. And your ready-to-wear sizing has nothing to do with the size your choose when you sew for yourself. Always follow the instructions.
The Lago tank pattern is great – I used a cotton modal spandex in blue snakeskin print – it is lovely and comfortable – wonderful instructions and I love the large print option.
Lovely top and easy make.
1er essai aujourd’hui ,avec des morceaux de jersey de mon stock
Very nice pattern and thank you for making it available!
Great free pattern! This came together so easily using scrap fabric I had left over from a t-shirt I had made for my husband. I’m definitely planning to add more to my collection. I will have to lengthen the pattern an inch or so and adjust the armholes next tie as I am quite chunky in the arms, but other than that I love the pattern 😃
Bonjour, je n’ai pu utiliser votre patron, car le téléchargement que j’ai réalisé ne comporte pas le format du patron en A4. Peut être est-il possible de l’avoir?
Kennis Wong –
The A4 pattern pages are followed by the instructions in the same file.
What a great tank T-shirt pattern. The instructions were clear to follow. I shortened the length by 5cm and it fit well. I’m 5’6”.
What a great versatile pattern, yes it was free but still an easy sew in under an hour. Tank in summer, cami for layering all year! Thank you!
Easy instruction. Lovely pattern
Very good pattern and clear concise instructions
I’ve made two with a third planned. I’ve made them for my sister who is a little larger than your largest size but the pattern lends itself well to minor adjustments. She is very happy with them.
Easy to sew. I’m a beginner.
very nice top, easy sew
Brilliant pattern, so easy to follow, I have made a few different ones and would like to adapt to long sleeves for the cooler months.
I love all of your patterns!
I really like the instructions that indicate what type of sewing either stitch/serge thank you.
Great pattern. Easy and nice to use up stash. Very good instructions.
I love that you can print only one size!
Love the pattern, super easy to do, came together quickly. Will use it many times to prepare for summer in Maine. Thanks again.
Simplemake and a bonus that one gets to try this brand for free with this pattern.

Easy to down load and use
Great pattern..thank you
Thank you so much for this free pattern.I have been sewing many years but always with paper patterns. This is my first attempt with an Independent and PDF pattern. The download and taping of pages was much easier than I anticipated;the sewing and fit was easy.I love your designs and look forward to several more purchases and makes in the near future.Thank you again!
I am very pleased with the pattern, it goes together easily and fits well.
I had trouble with the sizing because the printing didn’t match the guide. But it worked out and I ended up neatening the edges just by turning a hem and top stitching.
Great pattern but I had trouble figuring out the correct size to cut. When using a stretch fabric the finished measurements should be smaller than your body measurements. I had to cut off about four inches down the side seams. But I love my finished product. Thanks so much for the free pattern 😘
Thank you! Lovely pattern, very easy to sew up and the perfect every day summer top!
I have an apple Phone and IPad as my only internet access devices. When I tried to use the “only printing the sizes I need”feature from these, the Adobe acrobat app didn’t show the icon. It’s only when I managed to get to a normal computer and download one of my patterns onto the Adobe on their system could I see it. Note , they are using the free Adobe just like me. So I’ve only been able to print one of the six patterns I paid for, so far, so I’m not happy that this wasn’t made clear when I purchased the PDF’s.
Easy project, great practice gor a beginner.
All the patterns I’ve used from Itch to Stitch are lovely, and the directions are clear.
I didn’t have any trouble sewing it. Thought it was easy to do
Good pattern for a simple top.
This pattern is great to have in your arsenal- especially for those who benefit from the bust-shaping.
your patterns are a good fit for me Thank You
BJ Malecha –
Looks easy to make and comfortable!
So easy to sew up.
Easy pattern to work with and great for summer
Great beginner friendly free pattern with thorough, easy to follow instructions. Came together quickly. Fit somewhat more relaxed than anticipated for a knit pattern, will size down with next make. Thank you
Lovely pattern/model and easy to follow
I actually used this pattern for my son who wanted a tank to wear under his work shirts. He’s on the small side, and most men’s patterns are too large for him. Thanks to the no darts and simple shape of this pattern, it worked perfectly. I’d like to request more men’s patterns that start in size extra small, please!
Have made a stack of these. Really comfortable !!
Perfect everyday tank
This Largo Tank is simple and easy
I love it
I really like this top – because of the wider shoulder straps and the fit. We are going into winter shortly (I live in South Africa) and this will be on the winter sewing list to prep for summer 🙂 I will definitely be getting more patterns!
I’m so pleased to try this pattern for no charge! it’s a very nice way to learn about a pattern designer’s products.
Fits perfect and so easy make. Love it.
Simple and clear pattern, excellent result. Many thanks. Just couple remarks for the perfection: a) would slightly reduce the width of neck and armhole bands (by 1/4″) as they tend to gap when medium weight jersey is used;
b) topstitching should be a must for more professional look 😊
Great pattern, easy instructions
Simple, yet pretty!
Beautiful patterns, i like the design, thanks so much
Very clear instructions, love layers option in pdf.
As for the fit, I don’t know why, but in the end I’ve removed ~15cm in bust area so it fit me better, even though it was the right circumference according to my measurements. Maybe it was smth about the fabric stretch (I have no idea, it was the first time ever for me sewing with knitwear).
Great pattern, just the thing for our hot summers here in South Africa.
Sharon M –
Great pattern with perfect fit. Easy to follow instructions.
Linda Watkins –
Love this pattern
I love this top. I used some leftover ITY fabric and it’s perfect. Thank you. My only problem is that I don’t have the option to choose a size to print so the printing becomes a big job. Nevertheless, lovely top a steady to follow instructions 😊
It was easy to follow and understand. Thanks
Very happy with this pattern. Thank-yo
Very nice to sew and sizes incredibly well fitted. 😊
Very cute top
A great, simple wardrobe staple
Great fit. Very easy.
Useful scrap-buster pattern.

Nice easy to make tank/ vest top. Pattern was true to size, instructions were good and the pattern was free. I’ve seen people make bought patterns (£8-14) which were very similar to this on YouTube. Thank you Kennis for a lovely pattern which can be a staple garment in many peoples’ wardrobes. Going to try another of your patterns having been very pleased with this one.
A great sewing project perfect for a beginner
i love it

As with the Uvita Top I was impressed with how quick and easy it was to order this pattern. I can’t wait to make both tops for the 2021 Summer.
Simple and classic.
I guess I am a little intimidated trying to make my own patterns. I’ve been wanting a tank top pattern, and this is perfect! Thanks so much!

Easy pattern, easy to follow and super cute tank
True to size fit and really is loose fit, not baggy looking.
The pattern is ready to cut and steps easy to follow. I am very happy with it.
Easy pattern to follow, will be just right!
My tank top turned out super cute and as a novice sewer it was extremely easy and self explanatory to follow the instructions. I am hoping to use this pattern again once I get more fabric. I would DEFINITELY recommend using this pattern
really easy pattern to follow and looked good when done, good fit too
I’m new to dressmaking but this is a great pattern and will get used a lot!
Très bien !
Love this tank! it is so comfortable! I made this with extra fabric leftover from a project and I will certainly be making more – it’s a great summer tank for a layering piece or a pj top! You won’t be disappointed if you make this pattern.
Thank you for your pattern. I will make it for sure. I like it so much.
Ce patron est fait très grand !
I love Itch to stitch patterns, and I am
Particularly impressed, and very grateful( especially in these crazy times) that this was free pattern. I think its extremely generous to offer free patterns, and I for one am excited to make this cute little top! Thankyou to Itch to Stitch for their generosity, and for wonderful patterns.
es muy versatil y fácil! Me encanta 🙂
Manon Hache McNeil –
The pattern was easy to sew. I will be making several more of these.
Michaela Benesch –
Thanks for the great file, the top was well done – thanks to the good instructions!
Just what I wanted. Thank you.
This is a very cute and well drafted tank top pattern. Unfortunately, it was a little to revealing for my post 60 body. I’m sure it looks great on younger women, but I need to hide a bit more now. Thanks for your great patterns and for making some of them free.
Success!! Thank you for this easy to use pattern!
Was a very easy make and it fit very well. I have made 3 of this top and am planning on making 3 more.
Omar Lozano –

Heel gemakkelijk en fijn patroon
This is a great pattern,I really love it!!thank you!
I needed new night shirts, I found this pattern to be perfect. Very comfortable and I found the perfect fabric. Very easy to make with a soft knit fabric.
It’s very nice and easy to sewing
Easy quick tanks to make. Able to print off sizes needed to go fro any 8 at bust to 12 at hips
What a great little tank. It’s stylish, fits beautifully, goes together easily, plus with the banded neck and arm openings, looks expensive. Itch to Stitch patterns continue to amaze me!
Martine Juneau –
Facile à coudre et ajustement parfait
I have been looking for a tank pattern to not only make for the summer months but for winter in New England to wear underneath shirts and sweaters for warmth. I’m 5’1″ and purchased tanks are always too long on the shoulder straps. This pattern is the answer. It is well drafted and FREE! Thank-you!
Loved the easy to follow pattern. In reading the reviews, I also experienced the need to adjust the arm holes. I’m guessing I’ll need to go down a size or two. Otherwise, the pattern fit great! I’ll have to look up the directions on how to make needed adjustments for my next try. I’ve never graded a pattern before, as I have not sewn many garments for myself.
Easy to follow directions and great for beginners
cute and easy to make loved it
Good easy pattern
love it easy to make and fist great
Great pattern, sizing was spot on, so pleased with this pattern!
Is a t-shirt very nice
Great, easy little top to make,
I really liked the pattern. Add a bust dart and curved the hemline. Slightly longer in the back.
wonderful, easy to put together, thank you
very cute design
liked it alot
easy and quick to make
Hi. I wonder what size are you wearing this in the photo? I think im pretty close to your size. I had printed size 8- which is way too big, went down and it still too big, and getting a bit frustrated ?. ..
Love the shape of it though, gonna be my favorite tank if im success sewing this ?.
Kennis Wong –
Hi, mine is a size 6 graded to size 10 at the hip. But it’s not really just about the size; make sure that you are using a knit fabric that has 2-way or 4-way knit fabric with 50% to 75% stretch and good recovery. You can google “how to determine fabric stretch percentage” if you are not familiar. And good recovery is very important; if you use a fabric that just drapes down but doesn’t bounce back, then it can be too large.
Lovely! Thank you very much
très facile à réaliser
Great pattern would definitely recommend getting it…?
Wonderful pattern with clear directions! I have made two tank tops so far. Very pleased.
very easy very nice pattern
Great Tank, easy to sew.
What I was looking for.
I’ve been looking for a “perfect” tank pattern for a while. I’ve sewn commercial patterns, and drafted my own by cloning tanks I love, but something’s always missing.
I’ve seen a lot of reviews of the Lago saying how great it is, so I decided to give it a try. As a free pattern it was also an opportunity to give Itch To Stitch a try since I have several other patterns of theirs on my wish list… the Mountain View Pull-On Jeans being top of the list right now.
First, I made the correct size for the Lago Tank based on my measurements, to see how ITS wanted it to look.
Apparently, huuuuge and ill-fitting? It was so gigantic that the sides of the tank top were draping like swag curtains, in floppy “U” shapes, with armholes that could almost have fit a kimono sleeve, and gave a complete view of my bra. Yikes! I did like the shape of the neckline, however, so I ran each side up, pinching out over an inch (so, removed four+ inches in total)… it’s still a bit large on the sides but that was as brave as I could be on the first go, and I decided that while I love the shape, the neckline falls lower than my comfort level, so I’d try the tank again in whatever size seemed about four inches smaller in circumference and see if that solved the issues.
By that measurement I should have gone down three sizes—but never having seen a pattern that far off I decided to go down only two sizes, adding 3/4″ to the length so a smaller top wouldn’t mean a shorter top. This worked perfectly (if by perfectly you mean having to guess, and make two tops, before getting one that fits like the pattern photo led me to expect).
While the semi-racerback dips in too far in the back to cover my bra straps, it is fitting how I believe it was designed to fit now, so not noticing the back-shoulder width of this pattern would be a little revealing is on me. The neckline, already wonderful, is now at a depth I find modest-yet-stylish; the armhole depth keeps me covered; and the width and shape of the side seams is just great.
Things about the pattern generally that I wasn’t sure about:
3/8″ seams terrified me. I’m a 5/8″ chick myself. Where’s the room to change things? However, since my changes were all of the make-it-smaller variety, this didn’t end up being an issue, and tbh, it saves all the steps in a Big 4 pattern that say “trim seams.” Also helped the neck and armhole bands to go together like a dream. So, I dunno about that, I guess I’m still on the fence. I like my wiggle room.
The shaped front pattern piece: A tank’s front and back side seams are (usually? in my expereience) both about the same shape, but in this pattern there’s extra shapely-ness at the bust on the front pattern piece. I have no need for an extra shapely bust so I wondered if this was going to make a saggy mess for me, but in the right/wrong size I sewed first, and in the wrong/right size I sewed second, it turned out that ITS was right and I was wrong. The slightly-more-curvy front pattern piece is just right 🙂 to make the tank fit well.
Conclusion: I’ve already added paper where needed and re-drafted that back-shoulder area with more coverage, trying to keep the graceful armhole shape as much as possible, and I will definitely be making this up again, albeit two sizes smaller than my measurements dictate. With patience and modifications, I think I may at last have my go-to tank top pattern!
Kennis Wong –
Hi K, thank you so much for your thorough review! The pattern is designed for light to medium-light weight, 2-way or 4-way knit fabric with 50% to 75% stretch and good recovery. If your fabric has more stretch and less recovery, I would expect the result you experienced. I encourage you to try using the recommended fabric and your result would be different. Jersey with Lycra/spandex would be a good choice.
A very nice pattern and pretty easy to construct. Thanks
Very sweet top, making them as Christmas gifts for both of my son’s girlfriends. Two for each of them
Excellent pattern! Clear and detailed instructions. My first Itch to Stitch, the Lago Tank, had the fit I wanted. That said, I will admit that I find it a hassle to piece together PDFs.
Very well thought through pattern making it as sports wear item
fantastic pattern! perfect! Thanks!
Nice cut and shape
Easy to read and understand, pleased
Cool and comfortable can make it in many different colors
Perfect layering piece!
Awesome and easy to follow
So happy with this pattern.
Lovely basic tank
This is a really nice pattern with easy-to-follow instructions
Fits well and covers bra straps, which is hard for me with a long torso and sloped shoulders.
Lovely easy top
I love every pattern I have purchased from this company. The clear instructions, accurate guide for size selection and easy instructions for adjusting the pattern make them a pleasure to sew. I am short waisted and smaller on top than bottom so I love how easy making fit adjustments are.
The instructions were very clear and this was a quick and simple sew! I will definitely be making many more!!!

Great easy download.
a simple design
The instructions are so clear
Love this Lago tank. Especially appreciate your explicit directions, as someone that hasn’t sewn garments in a lot of years, the time you have put into your patterns is greatly appreciated.
A brilliant fast to make and versatile staple tank. How kind of you to provide this. Sews up quickly and the instructions, as always, are easy to follow.
The fit is perfect. I will make this more than once!
The perfect tank!
Simple und sitzt gut
Sieht gut aus. Sehr luftig, daher ideal für heiße Tage. (Perfect for hot days)
What a fabulous tank pattern! I have made so many since testing and release of the Lago Tank! This is a great pattern for those 1 yard cuts of knit you love but are not sure what to make. It is also a great pattern for up cycling/refashioning knit shirts and skirts into tanks with.
Such a simple design, but it’s a really useful garment. I see many of these in my life!
Very clear explantation
Nice result (I also made a dress by adding 25 cm to the length)
Also for beginners!
