  1. Sandra

I especially like the cut of this vest. It has princess seams for easy bust adjustment and the overall fit is streamlined and not baggy.

  2. Roxanne

    Attractive, stylish and so useful!

  3. Edith

Great instructions, easy to follow, looks great

  4. Fiona

A really nice pattern that is well drafted and easy to follow. I am very happy with the finished garment and enjoy wearing it. I hacked the pattern to create a lining and my next hack for this pattern will be sleeves to create a jacket. I will be reusing this pattern many times I like it so much.

  5. Ana

Fantastic pattern, I have been after this style for a while & Itch to Stitch have nailed it with this beauti. Concise constructions.

  6. Sue

The pattern was true to size and the instructions were excellent.

  7. Hashi

This was my first Itch to Stitch pattern, and certainly won’t be my last. The instructions were clear and concise, and the pattern is well-drafted. I’m really happy with my vest and will get a lot of wear out of it.

  8. Eleanor

Easy purchase, easy download to print and easily understood instructions. Thank you.

  9. April

I’ve been looking for a vest like this for a long time.

  10. Merrily

    Fit was true to description.

  11. Love this pattern. I can see it becoming a staple in my wardrobe.

  12. Val Batty

I love this, although made in a slightly off piste fabric. A nice water resistant twill in the camouflage fabric, used by Nordic armed forces when it snows. My first venture into patterns other than the usual was last year and so far I am impressed, excellent instructions. I didn’t have to worry about anything, even though I’d shortened because of my height. Perfect, might do again in a more conventional fabric.

I also took the easy way out and had it printed, knocking out the sheets sizes not required to a manageable two.

  13. Brooke

I wear my vest to work (I work in a lumber yard and greenhouse) it keeps me looking clean and professional but its not to heavy like a lot of other vests so I don’t over heat during the day. I love it!!!!!

  14. Debra

Instructions are well written. Love your patterns!

Absolutely love Kennis’ patterns! Even the more challenging ones can be done by just about anyone b/c her instructions are so clear that if you follow them step by step, you’re guaranteed to have a perfectly fitting, professional looking garment. An added bonus is that she will have kicked your sewing skills up a notch.

The pattern went together beautifully and I have worn the Envigado Vest almost daily. This is a true winner. Thank you so much for another great design!

  18. Jane

The patterns that Kennis designs are made for, and fit, real people. Being able to see the clothes on so many different body shapes and sizes is a big part of why I buy. The clothes are attractive and flattering!

  19. Ronda

Great pattern, and style. Instruction clear, and very easy to follow. The vest sews up nicely.

  20. Anonymous

Nice pattern, easy to add a lining.

  21. Gail

  24. kelseyjlord

This vest is gorgeous! The finishing and details elevate it to a professional level. No one will be able to tell that you made it! Once again, Kennis has clear and detailed directions and even cups sizes to help you get the perfect fit! There is nothing else like this on the pdf pattern market that I have seen and it is not only on-trend now, but will be stylish for many years to come! I can’t wait to make another one!

  25. othersideofthegarden

The Envigado vest took no time at all in becoming a daily worn item in my wardrobe. This is a “must make more than one” garment for me! The instructions are spot on and the finish of the vest is even better than some ready to wear vests I have seen in the shops. Thanks for another great pattern!

How to choose your size

  1. Determine your cup size—subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1″ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2″ (5 cm), use B cup; 3″ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4″ (10 cm), use D cup; 5″ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.
  2. After determining the cup size, compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Using the corresponding row for your cup, choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  3. Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  4. Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  5. It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.
  6. If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the garment. The instructions for lengthening or shortening are included in the pattern.
