Size Chart

Busan Top PDF Sewing Pattern Body Measurements

Busan Top PDF Sewing Pattern Finished Garment Measurements

Choosing Your Size

  1. Compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the “Body Measurements” table, choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  2. Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size.
  3. Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  4. It’s OK to use different sizes. See instructions for details.
  5. If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the top. See instructions for details.

I highly recommend that you check your fit by making a test garment with inexpensive fabric that has similar stretch, weight and drape as your final garment fabric.

Material

Primary Fabric Use medium-weight knit fabric with 25%-50% stretch. Jersey, sweater knit and double knit are great choices.

Other Materials

  • 5“ (13 cm) of 3/8“ or 1/2“ (1 cm or 1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or you may cut your own using light-weight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain)

Fabric Requirements

Most natural fibers shrink in the wash; be sure to have enough fabric. The requirements below assume that the fabric is already pre-shrunk.

Very good pattern, super easy to follow

Busan top has been very simple to assemble and is a cut above a simple T. I’ve made one as a toile, and will make some more. I can see already it will look different in different fabrics. The download was easy – although it didn’t print to scale on A4 paper. When I changed to Letter size, it was fine. Sizing – I chose the size based on my bust and waist measurement. I could probably have gone down a size, as I’ve had to take in the side seams. But my fabric was stretchy, so it could be that. If I make with something less stretchy next time, I will cut on exact measurements again. If I make with a stretchy fabric, I would size down. First Itch to Stitch pattern – will definitely make more.

Nearly done with this top. Wish I had used fabric with more body, but it has gone together well. I like the style, nice addition to my wardrobe.
