Hi. I’m wondering how this would work as a pullover with the right knit. What do you think?
Hi Lori, this pattern is designed to use woven fabric. Knit fabric won’t work; it would be huge and the seam would be not stable/stretched out. Usually knit patterns don’t have that many darts either.
I was just looking for a faux wrap dress pattern for a lovely georgette I bought last week and your pattern seems to be just what I wanted. But since I’m neither slim nor young anymore, the short skirt probably would look awkward with my knees. Is there a way to use a longer and wider skirt? Can you just switch skirts? FI I have drafted a 3/4 circle skirt pattern for another skirt.
I already have found several pattern in your shop that are just the style I like and your blog is full of very interesting posts.
Hi Nanna, you can certainly length the skirt portion using the lengthen/shorten line provided. But you are also able to switch to a skirt that you like as long as you are able to make the waist circumference to match exactly to properly attach it to the bodice. I suggest you use the finished garment measurement for the waist to see if that match your self drafted skirt. But when you get the pattern, you should also measure the front waist and the back waist separately to make sure each portion match your self drafted skirt. Good luck!
