New Pattern: Danube Jean Skirt
Jeans are the basic workhorse in my wardrobe, but my love for jeans also extends to jean skirts. I don’t have many jeans skirts in my life, but that’s only because one skirt can already go with so many tops; one made with denim with a classic wash is very versatile.
The Danube Jean Skirt is modeled after a jean skirt that I owned—a classic slim shape with side slits for walking ease and style.
But of course, you can make your Danube Jean Skirt out of other bottom weight fabric as well.
For one week, the Danube Jean Skirt pattern is 20% off. The volume discount still applies—get 15% off your entire cart if your purchase is $20 or more, or 20% off your entire cart if your purchase is $30 or more!

Could a stretch denim be used? I see that you specify a non-stretch, but I’m wondering what the consequences would be if I used stretch (say 20-25%). Thanks as always for making awesome patterns!
Hi Laura, a stretch denim could be used, but you might have to go down a size and stabilize the waistband. Thank you for your interest.
I’m a big fan of this skirt! Will buy it soon and make it for summer!!
Now this is a skirt I can wear all summer long! I missed the announcement and just thought `hmmm, it`s been awhile since Itch to Stitch put anything out.`WHat a great surprise to see I have missed this and the last last dress. See what happens when I get busy at work and avoid your personal email – I miss all the fun! But what fun it will be to catch up…buying them both. Thanks for another great staple pattern!
