The Anza was originally born as a jumpsuit only. I admit that I never owned a jumpsuit in my adulthood, but I always wanted to try wearing one. Since I made my Anza Jumpsuit, I can declare that I fall in love with it. I wear it so often that I really need to make another 3 to put into rotation.
But I do understand that some people are not ready for the fabulosity of jumpsuit quite yet (maybe you will be convinced seeing the photos below?). Therefore, I added the skirt to the Anza to make the dress option.
After making the pattern as jumpsuit and/or dress, several of my testers even hacked the pattern to create button-down tops. Some suggested making jumpsuit with shorts! And you can see that several tried it without the breast pockets. I know the Anza is a winner when many of my testers continue to make one after another. I think once you try making one, you will agree with me.

I love your jumpsuit! I bought your Sew Beautiful book. Haven’t had a chance to sew any of the neat patterns yet. I have a question about the jumpsuit. Is it possible to extend the sleeves to 3/4 length ? I am 79 y.o. and and my arms are no longer what they used to be. Love your patterns!
Every version looks fabulous! Nicely done, y’all. Yes, very flattering & I’m tempted to try this. Is the back side of the jumpsuit as cute as the front? Anyone willing to share rear view pics? Thanks!
Hi Sylvia, I think the dress and the jumpsuit make me look slimmer and taller; I think a mono-tone outfit tends to have that effect, which is really cool. I put several backside photos at the end of the post for you to see the back of the dress and jumpsuit.
Super – I’m sold! Thank you so much for sharing, Kennis!
Hi Sylvia, I took a photo of the back view and it’s on my blog – http://www.anna-zoe.net. It’s a great pattern!
What a fabulous pattern. I am not much for jumpsuits, but these look so flattering on all the testors. I will be buying mine tonight. For the dress version, I love the denim one with the contrast top stitching. Keep making fabulous patterns Kennis, you rock.
Thank you Nothy. 🙂 I like that denim one too. The topstitching looks gorgeous there!
I was so sad when i didn’t get to test this, but i am buying it RIGHT NOW!
I love both looks, and can’t wait to make myself a jumpsuit!
You’ve rocked this one kennis!! ?
Thank you Donna!
You know for sure the pattern is a winner, when you keep going OMG as you scroll through the tester pics! But how is it possible that every single version is so fantastic though? Kennis, knocked it out the park with this one. Ooooh can’t wait to be paid this week.
Thank you Abbey! I think both the jumpsuit and dress are very flattering on different figures too! 🙂
