Introducing the Martigny Hoodie PDF Sewing Pattern
I’m so excited to introduce the newest Itch to Stitch pattern, the Martigny Hoodie! It’s a relaxed, comfy layer with a deep V-neck that gives the classic hoodie a fresh, flattering look.

My favorite thing about Martigny? I’ve never seen another hoodie pattern with a V-neck, and I think it’s such a fun twist! The V-neck adds a little feminine energy to a garment that’s inherently masculine, and it’s so flattering. Pair that with the relaxed, cozy fit, and you have the perfect piece for running around town when the weather turns cool. It’s lovely on its own, like in my photos, and it layers beautifully over a tee or blouse, too.

Martigny Hoodie Features
- Regular Bust and Full Bust options for a great fit
- Flattering deep V-neck
- Lined hood with drawstring
- Slightly dropped shoulders
- Slanted side seams with inseam pockets
- Options for short sleeves with cuffs and long sleeves with cuffs
- Wide bottom band
- Designed for medium-weight knit fabrics

Fabric Suggestions
For the primary fabric, choose a medium-weight knit fabric with good stretch and recovery, such as French terry or sweatshirt knit fabric. The hood and pocket linings call for a lightweight fabric, and it can be either a knit or woven fabric.

Hi!! I love your patterns and enjoy them with their easy to wear ability. One question with this pattern. Is the seam line for the bodice awkward running across the bust line? I’d love to see some real responses from those who have made and worn the garment.
I am wondering the same thing. It looks like the seam is a the fullest part of the bust. Maybe if that seam was pressed open and then topstitched it would look a little neater.
You certainly can topstitch the seam! 🙂
That was my impression in looking at the pictures. It makes it look like a dart that was poorly sewed and not pressed. The suggestion below of pressing the seam open and maybe top stitching it so it layed flat makes sense. Cute and unique style.
Hi, Amy, I’ve been wearing mine, and I love them! I actually made two “final” ones for myself: the one in the photo and another that I didn’t photograph. The seam isn’t awkward at all. It’s designed to sit above the apex, so it doesn’t fall at the fullest point of the bust. Exactly where it lands will depend on your figure, height, and proportions, of course.
