  1. Eva

I love my dress, I sewed the size (10) that fit my measurements and graded up to 12 at the hips. Because the skirt flares a bit, grading up wasn’t really neccesary. I really like the neckline.

  2. Simone

Excellent! Love the pattern, instructions are clear and detailed and the construction of the neckline is just brilliant! It’s a great addition to my everyday t-shirts and it fits so comfortably. I made an 8 with full bust option, probably could have done a 6, but it’s oh so comfortable. Have made 2 tops from this pattern so far, and am absolutely smitten! I think the dress version is next.
This will go great with the Lisbon cardis I made (also highly recommend that one, of you don’t own it yet), and some of my knitted cardigans!

  3. Linda

Actually, was very easy to sew, and I liked it so much that I cut another one out the next day! Very good instructions; I like the 3/8″ seams (different from USA McCalls and Simplicity), and I will order some of your other tops!

  4. Vicki

    Just a perfect everyday top!!!

  5. Virginia

    Super cute! Love the neckline!

  6. Anonymous

This is the only top I have yet sewn from the ones I purchased was OK but not perfect for my body type, next sew will be perfect however. Instructions for assembly very precise and perhaps more suited to woven fabrics.
The experience of choosing patterns somewhat ruined by trying to navigate the website due to being delayed by β€œweb crawler protection” for a minimum of half a minute every time I tried to even see a different view of the same model I was looking at. In the end it just got too hard to bother looking at all the patterns.

  7. Ruth

Love the style. I am a senior sewer and like a little more ease in waist so will size up next time. Very unique

  8. Mariska

I have made up a wearable toile of this and it fits me well for my body size. I am pleased with it and will make more of this pattern.

  9. Gail

Pleased with how top fits excellent clear instructions

  10. Nancy

Nice pattern, good explenation, great πŸ™‚

  11. Deborah

Just finished the dress….it looks great❀️ Love the pattern. It’s a style I normally don’t wear (form fitting) but seeing your lovely testers wear theirs gave me the encouragement. Let them know how much I appreciate their involvement in the testing.

  12. Helena

    Clear instructions to follow.

  13. Anne

    love all your patterns

  14. Joan

I love this top & was surprised how easy the neckline was to do thanks to the excellent instructions. I’ll be making more!!

  15. Heather

    Best fitting t’shirt I’ve made. I’ve made 4 already

  16. Kathryn

I made the dress with a striped jersey from my stash, bodice stripes horizontal and skirt stripes vertical. I’m very pleased with the result. I made the full bust size 10 and was going to grade to 12 at the waist and hips but ended up sticking to the 10 as it was fine. I did add a binding over the clear elastic at the waist as I found it uncomfortable on my skin. I also shortened the skirt by about 2” as I’m only 5’2”.

  17. sheryl

    perfect

  18. Janet

This is my 1st ITS make and I did get a wearable muslin the 1st time out. Used the full bust front, size 6 on top and out to 16 by the waist. did a 3/8″ narrow shoulder adjustment & it was just not quite enough – probably need a 1/2″. Fit as good except for a bit of excess fabric at the front underarm just above bust. I think maybe if I did a petite adjustment that might eliminate that. All in all, for a top without a bust dart, I was pleased.

  19. Martha

I love itch-to-stitch patterns. The styles are great. The directions are very well done. The patterns are layered and I know just which pages to print. I love the individual cup sizes. I have been sewing for about 50 years! And these are the best patterns I have ever worked with

  20. Bronwyn

    Very happy with my purchase

  21. Colleen

I made both the top and the dress in just a couple days, and I have plans to sew a couple more. Such a great pattern!

  22. Jeanine

    Goed patroon

  23. Anonymous

    Beautiful pattern! Easy to sew

    Lovely

  25. caroline

    Love the neckline

  26. Deborah

The pattern looks excellent, from all the tester’s blogs I’ve reviewed. I am excited to sew this very popular pattern. I have not yet cut out the pattern. Based on my bust, waist and hip measurements, I will be using the Full Bust size 24 (52″). However, my biceps are not that large and I personally will have to figure out how to greatly scale down the width of the raglan sleeves to approximately a bicep of 14″ (approximately finished size 8-10). Can you give me any tips for this sizing issue I am faced with? I have never sewn a raglan sleeve before. Much thanks for the expanded sizing you have provided!

    • Kennis Wong

Hi Deborah, I would search for β€œfull bicep adjustment raglan sleeve”, and you should have quite a number of tutorials. I know you need to make the bicep narrower, so you would do the opposite of full bicep adjustment.

  27. Jeannette

    Love the design!

  28. Anonymous

As with all of Kennis’ patterns her fit and directions are detailed and foolproof if you take your time. This is a beautiful square-neck top or dress. Few patterns out there with this neck style.
I also feel a little disappointed in that the base style of this top and dress is similar to the Orosi top and dress in her book. It seems to be missing some of the extras I have come to know with other Itch to Stitch patterns and that make them stand out- extra sleeve detail options, pockets maybe, unique style etc.

  29. Valerie

    It’s a lovely pattern

  30. Laura

Itch to Stitch Patterns are my new favorites! I thought I was going to have to resort to drafting my own patterns and I am not well trained. But the more I try or ITS, the more I am impressed. I love the Tierra joggers, the Seychelles, the Fortuna….I could go on and on. Kennis just knows what she is doing. She drafts with great knowledge for the figure flaws we all want to forget. And she helps us love ourselves in the meantime.

  31. karen

    Great fit. Super easy

  32. Kristin

I fell in love with the neckline as soon as I saw this pattern. The instructions were easy to follow, my finished shirt fit me perfectly, and the neckline is so flattering. I will be making more!

  33. Elizabeth

Beautiful top and dress pattern that can easily be dressed up or down with fabric choice. Excellent instructions as well!

  34. April

I enjoy every pattern I purchase at Itch to Stitch

  35. andrea

Love the new way the pdf patterns are put together. Lovely pattern, simple and classic but with a bit of a twist

  36. Kelly

I love the neckline on this top and using Karina from lifting pins and needles tutorial it was so easy to do the corners. Need to make the dress next!

  37. linda

    Love this top thank you

  38. Brigetta

I made a muslin and I love it. It fits perfectly with minimal adjustments (had to grade to a bigger hip size only). Can’t wait to start making my top and dress this weekend

  39. Myra

    love your patterns

  40. Helen

A joy to sew this, a great experience as a first time customer, and I am recommending this pattern to all my sewing community.

  41. Stephanie

Easy to fit perfectly! Flattering and comfortable.

  42. Susan

    Love this pattern. Beautiful !

  43. Faith

I love this pattern! I’ve made both top and dress and really enjoyed the entire process particularly since I’d never done a square neckline before. The instructions were awesome and the sizing was perfect. The dress in particular is very flattering both with the neckline and the amount of gathering in the skirt. It isn’t bulky or heavy. Another fabulous pattern!!

  44. Denise

    Great instructions and fit!

  45. Monica

Love Love the semi square neck pattern. I made 3 Glenellys so far and will be making more.

  46. Kate

I love every Itch to Stitch pattern I’ve tried so far. The fit is perfect, the instructions are well written and detailed, and you get all the information you need to successfully sew each garment. The Glenelly square neckline is perfection!

  47. Anonymous

This top has a great fit and a flattering neckline. It was a quick sew even with the unusul neckline.

  48. V. Sharol

I made the dress version out of a ity jersey fabric. It is amazing. I made it in a 10 (no adjustments) full bust and it fits perfectly. I struggle to find patterns that fit both bust and hips, and this one works. I struggled with the facing on the neckline, but that was because I didn’t read the directions carefully enough. A good night’s sleep, and it went together perfectly. Thanks for the wonderful pattern. I’m going to do it as a top next.

  49. Gillian

As with all Itch to Stitch patterns, this is beautifully drafted.
I love all the patterns I have purchased from I to S.

  50. Diane

Great pattern and fun make as always from Kennis! 😎

How to choose your size

  1. Determine if you should use the regular bust front pieces or the full-bust front piecesβ€”subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 3β€³ (7.5 cm) or less, use regular bust; if it is more than 3" (7.5 cm), use full bust.

  2. Compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the β€œBody Measurements” table. Using the corresponding row for your bust (regular bust or full bust), choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.

  3. Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the β€œBody Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.

  4. Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the β€œBody Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.

  5. It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.

  6. If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the garment. The instructions for lengthening or shortening are included in the pattern.
