I love the pattern!! It would be wonderful to have a expansion pack with three-quarter and long gathered sleeves that would make it a bit dressier.

  2. Genevieve

    Super pattern!

  3. kerry

I love it but I haven’t had a chance to make it yet 😊

  4. Alana

This is a lovely pattern that comes together well. It’s my second Itch to Stitch pattern and I really like the drafting. I think this dress will look great in a variety of fabrics.

  5. Kadri

I LOVE my Ladera dress. I made mine using cotton and linen blend floral fabric and it is beautiful. I had no trouble fitting it to me, I just blended sizes.

  6. Laura

Great pattern and the instructions are easy to follow. Really appreciate the full bust option. Only adjustment was to lengthen the bodice piece so the elastic fell more at my waist.

This Pattern was released yesterday, and my linen fabric is in the wash right now~ ( first a muslin,,,) I can always depend on the pattern genius of Kennis to design clothing that suits my lifestyle~ smart but casual ~ This dress can be worn walking on the beach at night after dinner ,,as well as to a play downtown in the city ,,or to church on Sunday morning ~ Of course, styling it will affect the look, but this is what I appreciate most about her designs, they are classic but comfortable. All the ladies look beautiful in their dresses!!! Thank you Kennis!

How to choose your size

  1. Determine your cup sizeβ€”subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1β€³ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2β€³ (5 cm), use B cup; 3β€³ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4β€³ (10 cm), use D cup; 5β€³ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.
  2. After determining the cup size, compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the β€œBody Measurements” table. Using the corresponding row for your cup, choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  3. Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the β€œBody Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  4. Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the β€œBody Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  5. It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.
  6. If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the garment. The instructions for lengthening or shortening are included in the pattern.
