I have been sewing for over 50 years and this is the first time I have not had to alter a pattern for an FBA. I shortened the sleeves, thats just my preference for my figure type. I made the dress and will be making the blouse next. I used fabric I had in my stash, it was a soft viscose so not the recommended fabric and was not easy to handle for this style, but I got there in the end and love the result. This was my first Itch to stitch pattern and I am now looking for other patterns to try.

  2. Arlette

This was my first time using French seams on a garment. I made my Kosice dress with chambray. I love it. Note to myself to further improve the next one: to minimize bulk at the shoulders intersections, the contrast fabric HAS TO BE (as recommended) VERY lightweight fabric; to reduce the bulk at the hems intersections, clip the seam allowance at the fold and then press it beneath the fold line in the opposite direction from the seam allowance above.

  3. LINDA

I watch Karina’s site lifting pins and needles to get my inspiration on what to make.

  4. Martha

There’s no pattern in this lineup that doesn’t look good on any body

  5. Carol

    Love this

  6. Gaynor

I loved the shoulder detail. I am new to sewing my own clothes and enjoyed learning how to sew french seams. The fit is amazing.

  7. Susan Wentworth

This pattern has been on my list for quite some time. Decided spring was definitely the time to purchase. Not disappointed. Beautifully drafted and a really wonderful fit.

    Beautiful

  9. Pauline

Super details for accurate measuring of body And choosing the correct size. Excellent instructions. Really pleased with the garment especially the fit. Loved the layered pdf.

  10. melodie.kunegel

Unlike other itch to stitch tops, I had trouble with the fit of this pattern. Particularly the back is a little wonky and I think it might be due to the combination of my wide shoulders and these sleeves. However the front is looking good so I’ll wear it with a cardigan

Love all of the patterns that I have purchase from you, But need clearer and easier instructions on changing the bust size on the patterns as I am a beginner with this

  12. Diane

I love this pattern! With advice from watching Karina Trinidad’s YouTube Vlog on selecting the size and changes to the pattern to fit my body, as well as excellent instructions, I have made one of the nicest fitting blouses ever!

  13. Leigh

    Lovely pattern

  14. Patricia

This was my first Itch to Stitch pattern. Everything went so smoothly from downloading to putting the pattern together and sewing. I made it with the c cup and the fit is perfect. Thanks. I see more pattern purchases in the future.

  15. Kadri

I think this woven top will be my favourite one to make – it’s unique and still quite easy to sew.

  16. Vicky

Superb instructions with such attention to detail. The French seams were icing on the cake.

  17. Jenny

  18. Juneann

    Beautifully drafted pattern

  19. Brigetta

I love this pattern. I made the top and it was so easy and quite quick considering it was made using French seam method. I will definitely be making more tops and the dress version for Summer

How to choose your size

  1. Determine your cup size—subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1″ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2″ (5 cm), use B cup; 3″ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4″ (10 cm), use D cup; 5″ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.
  2. After determining the cup size, compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Using the corresponding row for your cup, choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  3. Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  4. Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  5. It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.
  6. If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the garment. The instructions for lengthening or shortening are included in the pattern.
