  1. Lisa

I just finished a wearable muslin in this. The size chart was spot on. I’m new to sewing, so I really need patterns that don’t require much adjustment. I wanted to make this so I could learn how to make a lined and pleated garment. LOTS of pleats on this baby! Anyway, the instructions were fabulous. The top makes even my completely non-curvy self look like I have curves! I will make some more for next summer, but I’m thinking it would be a lovely holiday top with a pretty skirt.

  2. Elaine

    Made up beautifully,very easy pattern.

  3. Darlene

    Beautifully made! Well fitting.

  4. Arlette

Thank you Kennis for offering the Dana Point as an ITS 2024 Summer Special. After making a wearable test blouse in light cotton, I made the Dana Point in a superposition of a printed burnout organza (transparent) lined with a rayonne popeline. I sewed the finished right side of the rayonne face to the wrong side of the organza, otherwise the only hack needed was to make a facing to hide the interfacing. I love it! I love your patterns with cup sizes making FBA obsolete.

  5. Mary

I made this in a sweater knit to wear as a layer over a lighter weight blouse but with a jacket. The fit and style are great. I will be making this pattern again for warmer weather.

  6. LINDA

Cute little pattern for summer. I watch Karina’s site to get my inspiration.

  7. Lyn

Another great top that will work perfectly with my body shape. An easy design to fit and wear with a wide range of pants and skirts. I love it and can’t wait to sew it up soon.

  8. Suzette

How to choose your size

  1. Determine your cup size—subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1″ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2″ (5 cm), use B cup; 3″ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4″ (10 cm), use D cup; 5″ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.
  2. After determining the cup size, compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Using the corresponding row for your cup, choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  3. Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  4. Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  5. It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.
  6. If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the garment. The instructions for lengthening or shortening are included in the pattern.
