Choosing Your Size

  1. Compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the “Body Measurements” table, choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
  2. There is no need to use your waist or hip measurement to select a size

I highly recommend that you check your fit by making a test garment with inexpensive fabric that has similar weight and drape as your final garment fabric.

Primary Fabric Use light to medium-weight knit fabric with 25%-100% stretch and good recovery. Sweater knit, French terry and jersey are good choices.

Fabric Requirements

Most natural fibers shrink in the wash; be sure to have enough fabric. The requirements below assume that the fabric is already pre-shrunk.

Awesome pattern! Planning to make a couple of these for gifts. The capelet would be easy to fit by estimating size and length I think.

I saw the pattern on Instagram and since I wanted to make a present for a friend, I immediately bought it and had planned to make a few more for Christmas presents. It’s a fast sew but getting the narrow hem totally even isn’t easy with thin sweater knits and neither is stitching the sleeve seams exactly in the ditch on both the front and the back. Should I ever make that pattern again, I would do the hem by hand and hand baste the sleeve seams. It probably would be easier if using a sturdier fabric like a French terry. I read that compared to the test makes I saw, the hem at the front was extended by two inches and that created an oval shape I’m not keen on. The circle look of the tester versions are more appealing to me. I’m still not sure if it’s good enough for a dear friend.
