how far forward has the shoulder seam been moved? I always need to change the angles of the front and back shoulder seams and i would first move this seamline back to where it was before you moved it, then make my changes and then move the seam forward again .
i hope I am making sense here! Thank you
This is a fabulous jacket. I love the collar and the cinch. Is there a hood pattern available anywhere that I could add to it? I would foresee needing a hood for a jacket like this.
Hi Nancy, I recommend using whatever pattern you have with a hood (so you don’t have to buy anything new); you can adjust the pattern a bit so that the front will end up at the zipper (extend or chop off the front edge a bit). From Itch to Stitch, I don’t know if any of the hoods would accidentally match exactly the neckline of this jacket as I didn’t make it to match any pattern. The Nazare and Andes have hoods, along with a few of them.
Thanks so much, Kennis! I will look into my pattern stash and see if I have any hoods. This pattern is very cool and I have a jacket that needs to be replaced!
Hi there, Kennis
I really like the look of this jacket and wondered if it would be suitable for men? Would there be significant adjustments required?
Hi Derek, the Delaware has a bust dart, even for A cup. Also, the shoulders would be too narrow for men, who usually have broader shoulders and back. The armhole might also be too small. I think the adjustments are not insignificant.
I love this pattern, Kennis! I have some stretch woven in my stash with about 10% stretch, do you also think it might work for this pattern?
Hi Katie, it would work but it will be larger.
