Let me tell you how this beauty came to be. I was out and about, doing a bit of window shopping to get the scoop on the latest trends. I stumbled upon the same recycled denim skirt design in multiple retailers. I had some old jeans and thought that I could give them a new life. Fast forward, and now I have the Quebrada Skirt that is chic, eco-friendly, and totally on-trend.
But of course, you are not limited to recycled denim when it comes to selecting materials for the Quebrada Skirt. You can play around with different woven fabrics – think faux suede for a winter vibe or corduroy for that cozy touch. And get this, one of my lovely testers even went for a Quebrada Skirt made from quilting cotton – hello, colorful spring/summer statement piece!
Let’s talk lengths. The pattern comes with two options – knee length and ankle length. But, here’s the best part – you can tweak it to fit your unique style. Whether you’re into cute minis or want something that gracefully skims the ground, the Quebrada Skirt is here for you. Instructions are included in the pattern!
Let’s take a look at the beautiful skirts that my lovely testers made!

So, what are you waiting for? Don’t miss out on this fabulous release discount. Let’s make the Quebrada Skirt your next sewing adventure!
Hi Kennis
Love this pattern. I had the same skirt in the 1990’s. Can I line this skirt. And if I can how will I go about doing it. Do I make up a full skirt with the lining then attach to main skirt or do I line each panel. Thinking of making it in a wool blend.
You could do either way. The first way is called lining and the second way is called interlining. I would do the first way (lining), but would not double the waist facing.
Added this pattern to my mental sewing queue. The recycled denim skirt is jean-ious! Thank you, I’ll let myself out…
Love this skirt style!!! Especially the maxi length. It has a nostalgic Edwardian walking skirt look to it.
I like how the fabric and length takes this skirt from more formal to casual.
If lengthening this skirt to floor length how much yardage do you recommend adding?
Hi Kay, I would add 4 times the length you are adding. For example, if you want to add 2″ to the skirt, add 8″ more of the fabric.
Are the seam wrinkles due to lack of pressing or fabric type?
Hi Kim, it’s due to the tension of the sewing machine. Some sewing machine are not as good handling some fabrics and you need to adjust the tension.
Now I have to buy back the jeans I donated to the Thrift store! I love this pattern!
That’s so true! lol
