Can this be made with a hood? I love the princess seams and zippper finish but can’t abide hoods.

I just watched Karina’s video and live this jacket! Since the hood is unlined, is it just a regular seam pressed open? I can’t tell from the photos.

Hi Erin, you can press it open, do a faux flat-felled seam (stitch, press to one side, serge finish the edges together and stitch down), or you can do a real flat-felled seam (link included in pattern instructions). The choice is yours.

I can totally imagine making this one size up in a stable knit, lined with some cozy plush fabric (yes I know it’s not lined but I’d figure it out, hehe) to use for home office during winter – I always get cold while sitting still at my desk!
hello, I like this pattern very much! Can it be done with fleece? Probably altering the sleeve cuffs to insert some ribbing instead? I am looking for a pattern to replace my dear and worn store bought fleece jacket. Thanks !
Your idea of using fleece and ribbing sounds good. I would serge finish the facings instead of pressing the edges under to reduce bulk. You’ll know what I mean when you get there in the instructions.
Truly like this design and it’s versatility for using different fabrics. I think offering a collared version would have been nice for those of use whom are not hood users. I can do that myself but others may not have that ability.

Do you have any photos of the inside? How is it faced? No lining but from the one side photo of the women in the purple one – it looks like there must be some facing even if it isn’t lined. Just trying to understand how you have finished the inside seams.
I don’t have any photos of the inside, but you’re right, it has facings at the zipper edge and along the hem.
