Primary Fabric Use medium-weight knit fabric with good recovery, and with 35-50% horizontal stretch, such as jersey, interlock, viscose French terry and double-brushed poly.
Lining Use very light knit fabric with good recovery such as a very lightweight jersey, power mesh and nylon tricot. The lining is not supposed to be visible, but it may still peek out as you move. Therefore, it is best to use a coordinating color.

How to choose your size
Determine if you should use the regular bust front pieces or the full-bust front pieces—subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 3″ (7.5 cm) or less, use regular bust; if it is more than 3" (7.5 cm), use full bust.
Compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Using the corresponding row for your bust (regular bust or full bust), choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.

A nice basic tee with a twist 🙂

Love the look of this pattern. I used a 4 way stretch knit and added a flair to the skirt as well as pockets. I followed the instructions and binded all edges around the neckline with tape. I used a knit interfacing in the front yoke for stability. When I went to slip it on over my head, it was extremely tight. I ended up taking the neck edge apart and binding it all around with a narrow jersey strip as well as inserting a slit in the centre back and it’s great! My first attempt at sewing this brand of pattern.

Love the shaping of this design. I like the sizing and amount of ease; much better most patterns. I would like the patterns better if the bust point and waist and hip levels were included.

Great pattern and instructions as always! 😊
“Itch to Stitch” patterns are the best there is out there-adjustments are a breeze with these fabulous patterns as well!

I do not like the way the front yoke attaches to the back piece. It does not look smooth and sleek like a professional garment would look. It should be more cohesive. I also think the front triangle piece should be optional for say a two tone garment. It makes it look like a patch on a garment of one color. When you look at it on this photo you don’t really see it so it doesn’t jump out at you like when you actually see it up close. I paid way too much for a pattern that I am so unhappy with.

Loved my latest ITS make of the new Brisbane top! A couple of minor adjustments for my petite frame, but as always, the directions were excellent. I have made several ITS patterns and always pleased with the quality and styles.

Pdf pattern was easy to put together and sewing instructions were great…I loved watching Lifting Pins and Needles YouTube, she did a great job of selling your patterns!

This dress is so adaptable. Wear it as an every day office dress or dress it up smart casual. Very comfortable to wear. Love it.

Beautiful dress pattern.

I tried this 5 times and just couldn’t get the pattern to work for my body. I have to take two inches off between my shoulders and bust. (For every pattern company, not just you). I really like this look but either the neck was too tight or too floppy. The shoulders pulled in too much or the keyhole had wrinkles coming down from the neck. The problem is my body and I am just not good enough adjusting patterns for me.

I sewed the Brisbane top in a lovely cotton knit with a bit of elastan. It was perfect! I do love a top with a twist and the keyhole is amazing. It’s not tricky if you follow the instructions.

I love your design esthetic and quality of drafting. No matter what pattern I try, the result is professional looking. Very flattering style on all figure types. The Brisbane is no different. Great pattern!

Great pattern.

Usually I love every one of the itch to stitch patterns I purchase— not this one. I found the instructions difficult to follow in regards to the neckline. I watched a video by Karina at Lifting Pins and Needles on how to do the neckline. I sew with perfect in mind…lol..but I could not get the back neckline to line up perfectly with the front. So disappointed.
