The Danube Jean Skirt is a classic five-pocket jean-style skirt. The casual skirt has a slim fit and side slits that make you feel extra sexy. Material
Primary Fabric Use a non-stretch denim, twill, corduroy or other bottom weight fabric.
Lining Use a lightweight woven fabric without stretch. Lining fabric is for pockets.

- One (1) 6" (15 cm) or longer metal or jeans zipper
- One (1) jeans button
- Ten (10) rivets (optional)
Fabric Requirements
Most natural fibers shrink in the wash; be sure to have enough fabric. The requirements below assume that the fabric is already pre-shrunk.

How to choose your size
- Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
- Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
- It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.
- If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the garment. The instructions for lengthening or shortening are included in the pattern.

Loved the pattern. Making my second skirt now. I moved the slit to the back which is my preference. It is truly a slim fit but my normal size of 4 waist and 6 hip worked perfectly.

A classic every wardrobe needs. The fit is perfect and the detailed instructions result in a skirt no one would guess you made! Make this out of different fabric for different looks -corduroy, twill, or even a wool.

This is one of my all-time favourites and ‘Ive sewn a lot! An enjoyable sewing project, wearable/useful twill/chino or denim skirt, and the side slits and back pockets are really flattering

I did not love it. I found the pocket insertions very confusing. If I had not had the resource off the video from “Lifting Pins and Needles” and a bit of trial and error I would have wadded and moved on. I thought the fly front zipper installation instructions to be very easy to understand however.
I opted to close the side vents as they seemed to sort of stand open awkwardly in all the pics I saw. I didn’t like that look.
I also had trouble determining where the notches were supposed to be. I think that is because there were so many lines and dashes and so forth in such close proximity that it just made it hard to tell what was a line and what was a notch.
I doubt I will make this again as it but I might use the pockets pattern (now that I know how to install them) and just put them onto a “Tand T” straight skirt pattern already in my stash. I will also probably use the fly front technique in the future.

The pattern is easy to follow and well explained, it’s the first time I sew a Jean skirt. I’ve made two, one exactly following the instructions and another with a curved waistband, which I think fits me better.
I really enjoyed sewing them!
