How to choose your size
- Determine your cup size—subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1″ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2″ (5 cm), use B cup; 3″ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4″ (10 cm), use D cup; 5″ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.
- After determining the cup size, compare your bust circumference (fullest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Using the corresponding row for your cup, choose the size that best fits your bust. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
- Compare your waist circumference (narrowest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that best fits your waist. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
- Compare your hip circumference (widest part) to the “Body Measurements” table. Choose the size that fits your hip best. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your garment more fitted; otherwise, choose the bigger size.
- It’s OK to use different sizes for the bust, waist and hip. The instructions for blending sizes are included in the pattern.
- If you are taller or shorter than 5’6” (168 cm), you should consider lengthening or shortening the garment. The instructions for lengthening or shortening are included in the pattern.

Bought a pattern for a similar top from another seller. Loved the idea of it but could not make it work. My bust is much bigger than the rest of my body and I altered and altered and I couldn’t make it work. I came back to the trusted source of Itch to Stitch and found a similar design. These patterns are always great. Instructions for size were spot on for me. I was leery of making a b cup since I’m usually a d but, of course, the sizing for the pattern was correct. So happy!! Made my muslin yesterday and today I’ll make the finished garment. Now can I get it done in time for the picnic later today is the question lol.

As always another excellent pattern! I made the straps a fraction wider as easier to turn! I also made the straps longer than for my size 2 pattern as from experience I knew I would need this otherwise it is to snug under the armhole. I love these patterns, beautiful instructions and once you own a few blending between sizes is the same for all. I am between a 0 and 2 with an “A” cup. Very occasionally I use the 4 if I want it looser on the hips for example.

As a more elderly sewist, if I see a good pattern I tend to go for it whether there is internet hype, or not.
I like the Itch to Stitch website. It relies on real representations of your designs, in fabric, on real people. To me, this is far more attractive than graphic/ artistic interpretations on a pattern cover . Very easy to assess which patterns would maybe suit me, within my capabilities, easy to purchase and download as well.
For me, its great to see real women wearing the garments, and also different heights, weights, ages etc. I need to be able to visualise how the pattern may look on me. I cannot do that if there is only one ” view” such as ultra large, or ultra small, on a front cover. I think your website provides a good range of realistic sewing makes. Thank you.

Wardrobe staple with a little different style then what is normally found. The fit is flattering. This is a quick sew that can be made with a lot of different fabrics and patterns. Adding trim to the bottom hem changes the look and is an easy way finish the edge if you are worried about the narrow hem.

Such a fantastic pattern! I sewed up D cup size 6 and it fit perfectly! I love that each cup size was available, it was super clear how to determine which I should use. Not having to do an FBA and wonder if I got it right was such a relief. I also bought the Kosice pattern that also offers cup size, can’t wait to sew one up!

I made a Bonn top with a transparent cotton gauze (I made 3 Bonns so far!) and it needed a cami underneath. I am a DD cup, I have discovered, and the Bonn pattern a nice fit. I used the Crystal Cove cami pattern as a starter but altered the back piece(s) to make one piece with straight sides so it would popover, with a bit of elastic to draw in the middle of the back at the high waistline, & the straps wider/altered to go over my bra straps, out of silk/cotton voile. It’s lovely. These patterns are so nice! I don’t need to do an FBA so it’s great when I start hacking!
