Itch to Stitch Lago Tank

Testing Call: Lago Tank

Hi everyone! Would you like to test this simple and quick Lago Tank pattern?

Itch to Stitch Lago Tank

I think this is perfect for those who are participating in Me-Made-May! For those who are not familiar, many sewists pledge to wear handmade clothing everyday in the month of May (or similar commitment). Even though I never officially make a pledge, nowadays, I almost always wear my own handmade clothing. To me, the most important part of making a wardrobe that can serve me every day is to understand what I actually wear every day.

I used to make fancy clothes that was for my aspirational life rather than my actual life. Or I would spend weeks making a dress that I’d only wear to a special event (once). There’s definitely satisfaction in making a vintage-inspired gown, but what I need most now is a simple tank top. That’s how Lago Tank comes in. I now own 5 Lago Tanks and I wear them whenever it gets too hot.

Timeline

I plan to start testing Thursday, May 4, and would like to receive your modeled photos with your garments by Monday, May 8. This is a very quick and easy pattern; I think some might be able to finish it in an hour or less. But as always, if there’s any important change to the pattern, we’ll extend testing as needed.

Your Compensation

Typically you’d receive a copy of the final pattern when the pattern is released, but this will be a free pattern (yes, it will be a free pattern!!!), so I will give you a copy of another Itch to Stitch pattern of your choice.

Tester Selection

Please only apply if you are interested in the style of the pattern. You will not have the opportunity to modify the style of the pattern (though you may choose to do so at your own time after the testing period). If you like your garment any other way, please forgo this testing call and wait for the next style that interests you. You are expected to choose a size based on your body measurements and sew the pattern as written for the purpose of testing. Blending sizes (from bust to waist/hip) and lengthening/shortening are OK.

The chosen testers will be invited to a private Facebook group where we can discuss the pattern, share pictures and discuss revisions. I will send the invite/link to the email that you provide. So please make sure you enter the correct email in the application form. Also please make sure that I am able to view the sample photos you submit; if I am not able to view your photos (i.e., viewing requires special permission that I do not have), then I will move onto the next application.

Please sign up using this application form if you are interested. Testing is one of the most crucial steps for producing a quality pattern. I appreciate your applying!
