Cozy Knitted Army Hats

February 12th, 2010

I don’t just sew, I also knit, although I am newer to knitting. My husband complained that he didn’t get any knitted gift from me, so I finally did something about it.

Doesn’t he look cute in them? They weather has been cold lately (dip into 50′s in Los Angeles! :-) I know, I am spoiled), he even wears them inside the house. If you look at the return on my time investment, these hats are definitely worthwhile.

They are very easy – cast on 96 stitches. Knit 2 purl 2. Knit for a while straight and start decreasing every other row until you only have six stitches. Bind off. I use Malabrigo worsted 100% wool here.
